single speeds tend to have brakes.

oh i get it andy- so this site is for bikes with wheels that go round as in they actually turn on some kind of bearing say, not motionless- this is not what i'm into!

The piss taking was not about the generality of brakes, but the specific subject of Campagnolo Delta brakes, which have acquired near legendary status among hipsters despite being crap. I counted 20 threads containing the word Delta in the thread title which referred to the brakes, which you have to admit should make knowledge of them a matter of basic training.

oh thanks mdcc tester, i'll have a bigger look around the site - i only joined yesterday and thought i'd have a chat. thanks for the heads up that there shit, i happen to like brakes that work well. i am looking for some campag brakes for my pagganini sioux cus it has shimano on that dont seem to be working very well at the moment

Although, if you didn't know they were called "Delta" brakes, it'd be difficult to search for them I guess. "Hulking great metal brake calliper" wouldn't yield many results :)

• #35571
He knew they were Campag, thread search for "Campagnolo Brakes" would have led him to https://www.lfgss.com/thread34045.html

Also Shimano has "Delta" brakes and their reputation is also not that good.
But people don't notice it, since the rear mech of the same gruppo is even worse... -

Modolo also did Deltas, they were call Kronos
It's mine now!
