1/ A lot of people can't use a pump
2/ A lot of people don't want to use a pump, they want you to do it.
3/ A lot of people would be happy to steal your pump
4/ A lot of people would be happy to damage your new bikes because they rest their BSO/ POS against them
5/ Tyre inflation is not a God given right
The OP seems to indicate the protagonist doesn't own a pump let alone carry one, is it unreasonnable to think he's at least partially responsible for what happened?
