Heya all,

I'm pretty new to the forums. I'm after a frame+forks suitable for a 6' male with non-vertical dropouts. It'd have to be suitable for 700c wheels, wide enough to support a shimano nexus geared hub, and it would also be nice for it to have square taper bb attached.

Unfortunately I don't have a car, so anything local to the city centre is ideal (I live near the Surrey St bus station)

Yes. Since most of the other bike parts were relatively cheap, I'd like to stick to the theme ;p. I'd not want to spend £100+ on a frame if I can pick something decent up for £40-50.

I hope it doesn't sound as unreasonable as using a geared hub (I bought a set of mavic cxp22 wheels with a 7 speed nexus hub in the rear and a shimano dynamo hub in the front for £50... seemed like a good idea at the time!)

Well at that bargain price, it sounds like a very good idea. Would be careful of cheap used frames though. In my limited experience, they break. Badly.

That said, keep an eye out for Hilary Stone's threads in the main Classifieds forum - he has some awesome frames for good prices. Dunno where he gets them all from.

You can buy a perfectly decent frame for nowt. Just go for something that's not fashionable.

Saw ya bike today Sailor! Looking good! You gonna get a decent fixed wheelset for it? If you want to run it @ 130 mm you can get a Halo Aero Rage wheelset, then get a 130 mm axle upgrad kit fron SJS Cycles... Will let you know all about that stuff when ya pop over with that saddle.

Has anyone seen any unique bar tape recently? Looking for something black with a white kinda pattern if anyone's seen anything.
