I sold a wheel with a much smaller dent than that and included 2 photos of the dented area and highlighted it in the listing. That is very poor eBaying if not even mentioning the dent.

The only thing id actually worry about is the dented inside edge cutting the side wall of your tyre... id remove any sharp edges with a bit of sand paper.
+1 after a bad day on the bike.... I've achieved worse

Bad packaging? :(
If you don't use a rear brake, it can be fixed, use dome small adjustable spanner the file+sandpaper

Thanks for replies. I've decided to keep and try and remove dent (well Mr. whitehel will be doing that bit), and give the chap some constructive feedback...

I have ridden a rim the same and even bent back myself with a spanner but I was always a bit concerned as I though alu alloys were not strong in flexible properties, i.e then just snap rather than bend!

if the rim has brake surface, it shouldn't be a problem, once that the brake surface star wear out, keep an eye

No way is that 'good condition' ! I'd be pretty pissed off if I had bought that wheel.
Would I trust that wheel on a fast descent ? No.............
It'll probably last years, but thats a shit interpretation of 'good condition' !

I wouldn't have that, obviously not mentioned to increase the price. Would return it and make him refund your postage. Probably post him a shit in a bag separately too.
