Do Nice Bike Get Knicked?

I'd say get the least visibly "bling" nice bike you can (my Fuji looks fairly crummy and will look crummier when I get round to removing the anodising from the cranks but rides perfectly well for round-town bike). Then lock it with eg a Kyptonite Fahg or M18, perhaps with a mini lock to the other wheel. Chances are good that something more readily saleable and less well secured will be nearby.

Also, I see couple of references to ironic 'taches in this thread. Let it be known that there's nothing in the least ironic about some facial topiary to be found in the E postcodes ;-)
