Hi guys,
I'm selling my Koga Miyata racer from the 1980s. Hardlite FM2 tubing, koga miyata's own brand, very light.
Seat tube: 58cm c-t-t
Top tube: 55cm c-t-c
gears, brakes: shimano 600
bars and stem are SR
seatpost is dura-ace
rolls 'due' saddle
suntour suberbe pedals
shimano exage rear hub laced to vuelta classic rims
suntour front hub laced to alesa rims
shimano 600 headset
Koga Miyata was a collaborative effort from the dutch company Koga and the Japanese company Miyata, both very high quality bike manufacturers, and it show in the lovely detailing on the frame, including M cut into all the lugs and stamped into the top of the bb shell (shown in pics), with the classic Koga Miyata 6 hole cut out of the bottom of the bb shell. the wheels and tyres have served me well, true with no punctures after nearly a year of road riding.
Paint is lovely but chipped (shown in pictures). not much rust but it doesn't look new. I was tempted to repaint but i didnt want to lose the original (beautiful) paintjob.
In with the sale I will include the original Koga Miyata white saddle with gold detail. I am not using it as the covering has come off at the edges, but if re-glued it would be in a good condition with no rips.
(the 'M' stamp)
the worst rust damage on the frame
oh and the frame has a lifetime guarantee!
overall a beautiful bike that has served me well
