53 16? Really? For the track maybe but surely not around town. A novice who can't even skid will struggle to push that gear around. Do you like walking up hills? Or perhaps just walking in general? A mix of 47/48 with 17/18/19 will have you skidding into oncoming traffic in no time. I think the op is trolling and having a laugh.
