are you on the pull Andy?
Depends. What are you wearing?

I'd love to see BMMF on question time. BMMF vs PAXMAN. That would be one battle. With long words.
Long words juxtaposed with with short swear ones like this:
"empty cans is a sophomoric cunt"

yes i actualy work with laura, shes cool :)
when i say long straight i dont mean completely straight, if you go from the job center and conections kind of area near the police station through the top of town, past the college, down the hill to tesco, then by dominos, wich is the spot i usualy hop on the path, i think its about 3 miles, if its clear its a pretty hard fast ride
...im not so much of a moody douche in real life by the way
Ask Laura if you think you'd benefit from Cycle training to make your commute safer ;)
It'd be awful if action21 bike recycling were to become associated with pavement riding, pedestrian weaving volunteers in their workshop. You better hope word doesn't reach them about this forum and thread.
I'll measure the route you describe from a pc tomorrow ('cos i'm a nerd like that).
Anyway, happy cycling and say hi to Laura from me.
P.s get in touch with CasaSteve via the Cov sub forum to meet more local riders.

i think your getting the wrong idea aswell, i rarely ride on the path, i only do it if it makes my ruit safer, or more direct/faster and i dont do it for long at all, and only on clear paths, wich i oredy sed but no one wants to listen to my reasons
i do actualy think it through! my road safety is fine.

Saw a policeman cycling the other way this evening, looking down at and fiddling with his radio with one hand - okay he wasn't texting but he definitely wasn't looking where he was going. Dunno why but instead of cross it made me laugh!

I had to look it up too

Because you are meant to, and by not doing those things you are much safer. Since I had cycle training, I've become a much safer cyclist, no rlj-ing, better road position, I hardly ever undertake any more.
No offence, but that's just plain old common sense.
-
• #214
I imagine that is because some need cycle training more than others

clearly not to empty cans...

• #216
So you are suggesting that I should get cycle training? Don't really follow the use of the empty cans. I wasn't complaining about anything. Or am I missing something?
Maybe you should tie some empty cans to your bike so that drivers / peds / other cyclists can hear you approaching at all times.

I thought you and Jonny were mates, going back a long way?
1977 no less. Couldn't have been the human bumble bee as i had no problem catching him up again.

Saw 2 policemen cyling along a pavement yesterday... If I'd have been on my bike I'd have slowed and taken a picture but sadly this once I was in my car.

Just a tip, no-one is insulting you, they are simply pointing out that what you consider is good cycling is far from that, it's nothing personal. You can choose to ignore it, or you can take it in the way it's meant.

Has this been resolved yet? Thanks.

i was called a moron and a twat, few other things, thats a insult. along with being patronised, also insulting...
and i never sed what i consider as good cycling actualy, i sed how i ride, i know im far from the best, was on about road safety and mine is just fine, just people who never seen how i ride thinking im shit, like they not even listening to what im saying, that isnt fair.
what i actualy would need tips on is breathing, climbing hills, pasing myself...
