i cope just fine, very fine, you have no idea how i ride so dont be ignorant, i use my skills to my advantage, i know when its safe to brake the rules...
You told me how you ride, so I do have an idea.
by braking rules i actualy ride safer, turning right on a cross junction i sometimes just cut on the path use the crossing and hop on the road again when the cars passed, if i go on the road some drivers want to get somewhere 2 seconds faster so they cut me up or drives past a few inches from me, i dont have a engine i cant ride like car...
my area isnt quite like london, i have to ride abit different, no way im following rules to just get hit or constant close calls, mite aswell get a moped...
how i ride is fine, its safer for me and better for the drivers if i go on a perfectly clear path, always ride at walking speed on the path, pushchairs make more hassle than me on a bike! i cross when the man is green, get back on the road when its clear, so...much better than cars all around me, on a hill at some lights, then when its green i slow every one behind me down, cars squeezing and accelerating right by the side of me pushing be right by the curb wich is a bad idea on a fixed gear...
Doesn't sound to me like are getting on fine, you listed another situation which you seem to imply happens frequently.
I'll ask you again could you describe the situations which lead you to ride poorly and how they occur. Don't take it as an insult that you need cycle training, we should all be willing to improve our riding.
