• I was looking through the spare room earlier and came across an old Claude Butler road frame and forks in Reynolds 531 frame tubing.

    It's a B I G frame with a 25" centre to centre seat tube and 23" ctc top tube.
It has the original champagne paint finish which is quite tatty, but the frame has no dents or structural defects that I can see.

It has a front lamp boss on the right fork blade, three cable guides on the top tube, Pump pegs on the seat tube. rear ends are spaced to 126mm rear and front to 100mm .

The original design would have been for 27 x 1 1/4" wheels but modern 700C with a 23mm tyre give 32 front and 36 mm rear clearance to the frame from the tyre.

The frame has long sloping road ends and would be suitable for a fixed gear conversion.

You can have a look at it here :

I have no idea how much this is worth as it is a bit out of my sphere of competency so I am open to the best offer ( of cash ! ) by Saturday lunchtime.

I can deliver in Edinburgh and if the offer is good enough post in the UK for £ 12.

    regards Allister
