Morning! Did everyone enjoy the manic commute in this morning? I hit the back of a scooter - luckily he had just run into the side of a car so wasn't very concerned with me - phew :)

Following an extended absence, I shall be making the weekly pilgrimage up the hill this evening.

Perhaps an early half at the SA followed by a gentle roll up Swains.

Everyone who ever got a bike for Christmas rode it in London this morning.

Looked more like anyone who got a bike at any point in the last 20 years on my ride in. Terrifies me how people wear a helmet, think they're invincible and don't pay an attention to what's going on around them.
Will try to make it up the hill for a bit tonight but not feeling awesome and off to bestival at weekend so will only be for one or two

Re the chaos this morning, I can only assume that people who travel underground every day don't know how to function in daylight. It was like Zombieland: morons on foot, on bike, and behind the wheel. Felt lucky to get to work in one piece.

Now fully recovered from the pirate ride I will certainly be making an appearance tonight after SE beers first of course!

meh, i actually had a very nice ride in this morning. the only thing I noticed was more motor congestion in general, but not really more nodders. Maybe it was too early for them?

I heard there was a petrol shortage this week in france and spain, following the epic pig wagon journey.

It's 30 degrees, they're living on a diet of bbqs and beer, and frolicking in the pool.
