I've Rival on my Principia. At the moment it is not working too good, but I think it's just because it isn't set up right. Keeps skipping when pedaling. And I've checked it is not because I'm riding big-big or small-small.
Have to get it to a shop as I'm not too good with derailleurs.
Does anyone know if changing the cassette (to an Ultegra one) could help? I half remember reading something like that, somewhere.
My Veloce has felt better, but I do like double-tap.

I've had problems with the indexing at the rear. There is very little margin of error when setting it up, according to my lbs.

Gotcha.
Thanks, man.

Does anyone know if the Sram Apex is worth something ?
I'm still running a 7-speed RSX setup on my commuter and consider switching to 10sp as the whole trans is in need of a revamp. 7-speed is cheap and wears slower than 10 speeds, but my daily commute in Switzerland is full of elevation change and my 13-27 gearing is full of gaps. I'm also considering a cheap taiwanese microshift mini-group but I don't know how good they are.

I trust it is more than serviceable. Most likely at least a bit better than Tiagra.
I've wondered if the Miche 10X groupset is any good. At least it is cheap.
Read somewhere it's Campag Xenon or Mirage just branded Miche. Can anyone verify this?

Looks like a Xenon groupset to me. Some of the components are called xenon too. If I remember correctly the xenon groups performs well for its price but has cheap looking/feeling plastic levers (marketed as composite mind)

Now I know. Cheers, 'furry.

Just £100 more would get you a full Veloce groupset. The components of which should last longer paying you back that 100 note. As well as being lighter and shifting better, you get an ultra torque crankset, skeleton brakes, and the new shape levers.

http://www.cyclingbargains.com/product_info.php/campagnolo-veloce-10speed-groupset-p-1303Yeah, Veloce would be much better. As I didn't really know anything about the Miche 10X I bought older Tiagra from CRC. Cost me next to nothing. The next geared ride I get will most likely be Veloce equipped. I really like the set. Haven't yet ridden the chinese alloy monster with Tiagra/Sora, so am not sure how it'll feel. (And could well be I mess up changing gears as my armada has Campag, SRAM and now Shimano.)

I would think the problem with those not finding SRAM shifting correctly lies in the installation and skill of the mechanic...
Advice: Read the users manual.

If you don't already have a campag groupset then Veloce is a decent buy. I've got UT Mirage on my Merckx, which was the best I could afford at the time, but now that I've got around to upgrading I've opted for Rival. Much as I like campag (I've also got Veloce on my cross bike), Rival is £55 cheaper than Athena (and only 4g heavier), and the individual components are generally half the price, which was an important factor for me in terms of being able to afford to replace things if they break/wear.
You should discuss that with Edscoble before making a comment on Di2, it's his 'baby'
