Yeah, Veloce would be much better. As I didn't really know anything about the Miche 10X I bought older Tiagra from CRC. Cost me next to nothing. The next geared ride I get will most likely be Veloce equipped. I really like the set. Haven't yet ridden the chinese alloy monster with Tiagra/Sora, so am not sure how it'll feel. (And could well be I mess up changing gears as my armada has Campag, SRAM and now Shimano.)
