I've got one of these, and much as I like it, I've had various problems. These may well be down to assembley by the retailer (Evans) rather than the bike itself.
The headset was set up wrong such that after a few hours riding it became very stiff. Both mudguards were set too low at the brake mounting point, rubbing against and damaging the tyres, The rear wheel had 3 broken spokes within the month I've owned it.
In fairness to Evans and Ridgeback, they've sorted all of this out quickly, and I now have a bike with better components than new at no extra cost, but it has been a significant inconvenience. I'll need to give it a few more months before I can comment on its long term reliability now this teething troubles are hopefully sorted.
