I have noticed in a trend in a few auctions where I felt I got a bit of a bargain.
The seller claims to be sent the item and it then goes 'missing' in the post. I notify the seller, who happily issues a refund.
Up until recently I had never lost a single item, and have an excellent relationship with my postman. Domestic post rarely goes missing in my experience.
I think instead of going missing they are 'ghost' parcels who never get sent so that the seller can guarantee a price without setting reserves or resorting to shill bidding. Plus they get positive feedback for appearing honest and generous.
How much stuff have people on here 'lost' in the post?
