    +1

  • It's quite common to chrome a frame, or parts thereof, then paint over them. So the lugs could be chromed, but painted.

    Beautiful frame btw.

  • What tubing is it? Columbus x?

  • Hi Georg B, that was not this frame if you watching the details.

    SOLD now

  • I beg to differ, think it's the exact same. Price comparison like that is a bit crude though. I had no clue at the time I sold it (too cheap). Did that because it was my own ride but too flexy for my taste.

  • Hi Peter, Then it must have some changes in details. For example you see the caps on the toptube by the cable entrance in the tubing. These are different. Also no rust on the toptube or sticker there.

Otherwise i don't see these frames before in Holland. No Basso's with panto ever seen.

George B, the Basso Peter sold was ridiculously cheap? you cannot compare an utter bargain with a high end mishmash gruppo with a near pristine frame?
Peter priced it low because the components were not matched, that along with his legendaryily low prices, just means that the person buying it gets a great deal. It doesn't mean that everything else should then be as cheap as chips...200 odd quid for a basso frame with chrome lugs is on the money.
    I have to say that...

  • Hi folks, Sometimes we ïmagine things are cheap or expensive. At the end it's all old steel........ but because of the nice handcraft we can see the beauty of the great steel frames. When you find a real bargain you have the luck of the day. Sometimes i find some but other times i see a beauty wich is to expensive. My problem, i buy both because i still love the old steel.
