  • tim do a search for ga2g's locks that work thread, you'll probably need more than a mini d if you plan on locking your bike up for anything longer than an hour or two. Best not to leave the bike locked up outside overnight as well.
Best to ask at work if they have any areas where you can lock your bike up securely, also have a think abut where you'll be living, and if there's space to keep the bike inside rather than out.
hope it helps, also don't be a stranger at drinks, it'll hopefully ease the transition and make london a friendlier place...

Much Appreciated, I'm swapping my Kryptonite mini u for a new york mini from one of the guys on the Glasgow forum and gonna get my self one of those cable locks. You think this will be enough? Preferably i'd like to have a mini u and a new york mini u but as i'm sacraficing 2 weeks unpaid leave i'm pretty broke as it is. Luckily work has space for bikes in side and im sure i should be able to bring the bike in over night hopefully.

Wouldn't mind coming along to one of the fixed beers as london does moderatly scare the shit out of me, none the less sure itll be reet after a week or so.
Definatly going for the helment option though... Glasgow is smaller and i know the roads back to front so i tend to take the 'live for ever' option however coming down to london completely new to all the routes i'm not sure i wanna take the same path.

Thanks for replying none the less, really helpful!

    Cheers
