Picked this up in France as an impulse purchase, but have to many bikes to have time to do anything but look at it :)

Its a Tigra Professionnel, from the late seventies. Tigra were a high end Swiss manufacturer of race bikes, having there own TDF Team back in their heyday - alas now from what little history i can find the name is owned by Trek, and put on generic hybrids for the German market these days.

Its built from Durifort (Predecessor to Vitus) double butted tubing, and has beautiful lug work and touches. They guy i got it off was about 85, and had been using it for TTing up until last year when he had a knee op, and had taken great care of it.

    Spec is as follows:

    Durifort Double Butted steel frame
Shimano Arabesque shifters, front and rear mech, 10 Speed
    SR Crankset
    Campagnolo Grans Sport Pedals
    Weinman 605 Brakes
    Brand new Acor brake levers
Shimano 105 hubs laced to Macic MA2 Rims, 36h
    SR Stem and Seat post
    Suede Criterium 2000 saddle
    Sakae Champoin Mondial Bars
    Weinman Drop Bars
    Tange headset

I have taken off the drops and put some North Road Bars on, installed new brake cables, and brand new Acor levers. The stem bars and levers are all brand new.

I have also installed some NOS alloy shorty mudguards.

The original Bars, Stem and levers will be included in the sale, along with a spare tyre that matches the ones installed.

On a side note the Criterium 2000 saddle is one of the comfiest i have sat on, which was a bonus as i expected it to be a pain in the ass.

The bike is ready to roll, needs nothing doing to it, the paintwork is ok with some scratches, and some decals are damaged.

All in all a very nice riding bike, with some nice bits on it.
