First post here. Hope you don't judge me for not having a fixey/single speed but putting the word out.
Silver 20" GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc stolen from my doorstep on Southey Road (between Oval and Brixton, S.London) Friday 3rd September about 7pm. Got distracted by phone as I entered my house and left it under the porch. Next thing I knew a neighbour knocked at the door informing me that some kids had just taken it. The doorway is set back from the road behind bushes so someone came on the property to take it. We gave chase but to no avail. All my fault and no insurance. Momentary lapse. I don't even risk leaving the bike locked up places much so this is pretty hard to take as you might imagine.
Specialized Armadillo road tyres (with brown side wall).
Specialized Avatar Gel seat
Silver DMR V8 solid metal pedals (just fitted).
Mount for a Cateye Strada computer on the handlebar stem, counter on fork, magnet on front wheel.
Front/rear cateye lights.
Black rear seat post mounted mudguard.
Small dent on underside of downtube (there since new, got money off ;) )
both GT branded handlebar grip end inserts missing, one replaced with a basic black insert, other missing.
Don't tend to see many of these around on my 2000miles of London commuting Ive done in the last 18 months of having it from new so if you see one give me a shout. I've got the frame number and proof of ownership.
In the highly likely event I don't get the bike back I'm probably going to get my own custom single speed up and running in a fetching White/Red/Gold style, this looks a cool community I may yet prove my individuality to.
Hey guys,

Even though it's pretty stock it has some distinctive features to look out for if you spot it (some fitted after pic):
