For sale is my Kogswell P/R (Porteur/Randonneur) frame (including mudguards) that I bought direct from Kogswell in America in late 2006. It is made for 650B wheels, 650B tyres being the best quality tyres you can get in widths over 28mm giving a cushioned, comfortable ride. It will make the perfect tourer, randonneur, commuter or, as it has horizontal dropouts, fixed gear machine. The frame includes the 40 trail fork, which is made for light to medium front loads (such as a handlebar bag or front panniers), but also handles fine without a front load.
This is your chance to own a unique machine, to my knowledge the only one in the UK!.The frame is 61.6cm is to the top of the seat tube from centre of bottom bracket, to the top of the top tube from centre of bottom bracket is 58cm, so sizing is as a 58cm frame (the extra 3.6cm being an extension above the top tube - see picture), standover height is likely lower than a 58cm frame given the smaller than usual wheels!. The top tube length is 58.5cm centre to centre. The frame is new, I've never built it up. It is far too nice a frame to sit around for so long and as I have other projects on the go, I'm offering it up in the hopes that someone can make good use of it.
To buy the frame new from Kogswell cost me $650, shipping it into the UK an extra $100, good old customs charged £40 and I'll include a set of front & rear Mafac tandem cantilever brakes, worth about £40.
Asking price is £360 including P&P within the UK.
