Is it just me, or is does every post from Lucas sound incredibly cross?
You'll give yourself a nasty ulcer, young man. Calm your pants.
Also, all your posts seem to be saying 'that bike is shit because it isn't anything like my bike'
Post us a pic of your £50 gem so we can be thoroughly underwhelmed by it.
I for one don't trawl through porn looking for tired looking women in their late fifties scrubbing the inside of a filthy oven with their knockers out.
I try to find something a little more 'aesthetically pleasing'.
The same goes for my bike tastes.
And as for Brooks saddles, get yourself down any flea market in England, and soon enough you'll find a Brooks saddle circa 1940. You can buy it, plonk it on your bike and ride it, and the chance are it will last you until you die.
THAT is why Brooks are popular, not because they are 'bling'.
I ain't angry mate, I am blunt when I am faced with bullshit. I can turn it on and I can turn it off ... I just choose to have it on most of the time. It's called self censorship, I choose to in the company of those around me, to be less censored ... whereas when I see my Grandparents for example I tone it down quite a bit.
I find in Real Life ... this makes me more quality friends (i.e. weeds out the wankers very quickly), by being honest.
Aesthetically pleasing doesn't get me to work and it gets itself nicked ... my nice bikes stay in my garage, my beater gets me to work.
You know maybe it says something about our character I prefer deeper down qualities than looks.
My preferred vintage-esque saddle is a rolls anyway, I don't want a brooks for my 70s Peugeot Thanks.
