• I have the following things to shift:

    • medium dark blue rapha cap, unworn except for trying on and realising I have a huge head
    • shimano bike stand (the kind you lean your rear axle against)
    • sugino 75 BB - 109mm
    • black mks gr-9 pedals - fitted and ridden with once

is it worth me taking these down?

  • I'd say so. There's supposed to be 30 odd people on gocycles coming down. Doubt they'll want the bb but one's bound to want a cap. Can't really picture this strange breed of cyclist.

  • you don't have to pay to jumble do you?

I'm coming. I will have at least:

    a cinelli 1A(?) stem
an old but ok salsa 110x48t ring
some pitted but ok lyotard pedals
    a nitto shim
some nice but badly cut down orth road style handlebars
some nice weinmann drop levers that are straight enough to be used easily on aforementioned northroad bar, and maybe a straight bar
    a single speed wheel
    maybe a track wheelset
    maybe a tub wheelset
    maybe some headbadges

maybe some random rubbish* i need to get rid of.

*aka stuff that might be useful if you are building the world's cheapest beater conversion

  • Can you carry all this on your bike?!

  • am i not allowed a rucksack? I have carried the moulton before, but i might ride it this time and leave bike-less (fingers crossed)

  • yeah maybe not 5 wheels though... good thinking

  • the ambiguity in that sentence says what I'm thinking ;)

not sure what type of folk would ride £1200 electric bikes!

    Rich fat and lazy ones?

  • well you said that, not me...

the Manchester Gruniad sez "it is not a bicycle for wallflowers"

if they're rich that should help the jumble along anyway

  • yep one of them can buy my hub.

  • Thanks to everyone who came down yesterday. It was good to sell some bits and be on the other side of the counter for once.

  • It comes round fast. Jumble this Sunday at 11am. Had quite a bit of interest over the last few weeks so could be a busy one. Men's World Champs at 1:15pm and shown again at 5pm.

  • Hopefully will be down on sunday as I'm after a few old bits.

  • I'll be down hunting some parts. I need some sidepull brake calipers that can run with the cable entering from either the bottom or the top. do they exist? I want to run the rear with the cable coming in from underneath and the front in the normal fashion.

Also a Campag pista headset, or something with a similarly low stack height.

  • I think really old callipers can handle this. Not v good quality though.

  • I will be there with the lettering leather stamps, early til 12.30 ish again, so if anyone wants to personalise their leather saddle it's £6, and be ready to remove your beloved brooks from your bike.

If anyone wants a saddle chop I will have some time on my hands over the next few weeks so I'm ready to get some work done, just PM me, could collect any saddles on sunday and deliver or meet or post to get them back to you.

    Somebody building a mixte?

  • Look out for a BMX caliper like DiaCompe, think those will work as I used to have a front brak on a BMX with a gyro that meant you have to cable it upside down, god how uncool they are now.

  • Cheers, yes John it's for a mixte. It has very nice Weinmann centre-pulls, but the way the cable at the back goes up and over is bloody ugly.

    Wheel on the seat bolt?

Hunting for a seven speed freewheel and a set of triple cranks for a friends raliegh. Why can I not say not my problem?

  • This thread needs a bump. It also need 'LMNH' on the title. And, LewRedd, have you considered getting it mentioned on http://www.bikejumbles.co.uk/ ? The Bristol Mud Dock one is and I reckon it would help solidify the event as being permanent. It is permanent, right? Seemed to be rather quiet last month...

I'll be there stamping saddles if anyone wants theirs done, from about 4pm.

  • Nuts. I can't make this one.

What's the deal with selling stuff? Do you have to book a table? How much stuff can you bring? Is there a fee?

    Cheers.

No booking, as much stuff as you want (within reason) and no fee.

Thanks Skully I've got it on a few sites but not bikejumbles.co.uk, not sure how to change the thread title.

Should be a good one this weekend, have had quite a few calls about it.
