  • The truth is, not much. It's not the use of the hand to hold the phone that is the problem. But it's easy to see someone using a hand held so the law went for that; it's a compromise. Or a cop out depending on how you look at it.

    But isn't the crux of Oz's argument that there is no difference between someone using a mobile in a fully specced car with one hand by choice, as opposed to someone with one arm through no choice of their own, driving an adapted vehicle? (while not on the phone hands free or not)
