    I did meet them one time where the officers was trying to tell me that it wasn't legal.. problem is, it is legal.. So we didn't quite agree about it.. :)

    Dodgy, theft is defined (in the UK at least) as the folowing;

    The (1)dishonest (2)appropriation of (3)property (4)belonging to another with the (5)intention of permanently depriving them of it.

    all 5 points have to be in place for it to be theft, so in the case of a skip, anything in it has been thrown away by the previous owner so therefore really doesn't belong to anyone, negating number (4). However, you could also say that the stuff in the skip is now the property of the skip hire company and is their responsibility for disposal.

    If they then turn round and say the above or they were using the skip to store stuff (ludicrous but possible) there is the fact that you honestly thought it was rubbish therefore negating point number (1).

    Conversely, if you put stuff in someone else's skip, they are paying for the space in that skip and you are taking it from them so you could get done for that.

    It is unlikely you'd get collared for taking something out of a skip/dumpster, it just depends on how bad a day the previous owner/copper is having or how much of a dick they are.

    They're Columbus Tusk Airs, they're way cheaper than the leader forks at £110. A few places sell them, including Ceeway's who do free shipping. You'll struggle to find the 735TR's now as they've stopped making them, I found mine on here by chance, they guy I got it off had spent £320 importing it only to leave it unbulit in his garage for a year, i got it for £190 in the end, tres cheap i thought for what was basically a new frame.

    It looks like that because the tops of the bars are oval shaped to fit the palm of your hand, I had a nasty wrist/hand injury last year (lots of broken bones, snapped tendons and a lost knuckle) and as a consequence i need a bigger surface to stop my hand aching i.e. the tops of track drops as they're too narrow. I could probably get away with modern super wide drops but they ugly. I find these the best medium between drops and risers, wide straight area for most of the time and low extensions for sprinting and climbing

    I think they're shaped like that as a nod to aerodynamics, as you're not actually expected to hold that part on a proper TT build, since the tribars get in the way.

    Quite true they just fit my hands nicely and mean I can ride for more than an hour without my hand going like this

    Hush your mouth sion! I've been ridding 64.3 on my other bike, its amazing I accelerate up hills! besides I always thought it was more manly to ride lower gears because you have to spin faster to do the same speeds on the flat

    saddle sorted and reflector removed, I need toe clips and im going to replace the back tyre with another continental ultra. The whole build was around £150 so happy enough.

  • Seriously, the frame is made for 27" wheel, which mean there's shitload of space for 700c with huge tyres.

    And yes, they're CXP14, my favourite deep section rims of all, got the gentlest curve and reasonably light for a deep section alu rims.

    Really can't wait to ride fixed again.

    there's also the planet x track forks for just £50 at the moment. No drilling if you want a brake though.

  • Ah the happy evenings I spent doing criminal law taking that clause apart and the discovery of TWOC ing ....

  • and my new build is a Raleigh Royal I picked for in mint condition for £50, I did a quick conversion with some spare parts to give me something a bit more relaxed to go to the pub on. It'll go back to 10 speed touring mode once the bad weather sets in.

    The Raleigh Royal frame is a decent one for touring/light touring, and often well sought after, I should know I've been looking for exactly that for a while!
