Recommend someone to buy a URL through

I've used Freeparking in the past but wondered if there's anyone better out there to buy a URL or two through? I'd want it to be flexible so I can move it to other servers / providers at a later date without any hassle. Who have you used who has been stress-free and provided a good service where you actually own the URL and you're not sort of 'renting' it from them? Cheers.

uhmm, i have some on dotster, and a LOT on xcalibre. But Xcalibre is part of webfusion now (balls) so I might move. If it's the usual ones (.com, .net, etc) then any will do. I found Site5 where quite decent for the money (control panel wise).
