  • Thanks. Yes, it's a fixed bike for road use. I figured I could match a nice road front hub with the same maker's track/fixed one for the rear and save a bit of weight. My last bike got nicked so security is important. Also, out here, if you want take your bike on a train you must remove the front wheel so QR would be handy.

    Chances are are a road hub will have better sealing anyway. The dimensions are the same, so why not. I have a SS 29er with a bolt-on rear, and a quick release front. No point in making life more difficult then it needs to be.
