Check the 'For Sale' threads Louie ;)
Epic turnout last night boys and girls. Great to see some new faces, some old faces and some familiar faces. Perfect!

Had a good time last night. Shame about the light. Are you going to talk to the council Joni? I don't expect they'll do anything of course.
-
• #561
Well the boys kept playing well in to the dark, so get some lights on your bike!
I'll give them a ring today, yes.
Kev, can you dash me the details please?
Good to see you on the court Sir.

Thanks so much for all the help guys!
Rik: Any helmets you can lend would be brilliant! I'd be around london from the 13th Sep so anytime I can come collect would be fantastic. I'll be able to get them back to you once the union is up and running with society budgets etc and I will certainly repay you with some sort of alcoholic bevy!
Wickie: I see your point about the boris bikes! Are any bikes ok for bike polo? i have one bashed up mountain bike, one old road bike with drop handle bars...The problem is essentially a lack of cash and bikes. So boris bikes are pretty much are the only choice to start with, despite being terrible..
If you could loan me some mallets for a team , just for the starting week game, that would be truly excellent! I should be able to buy parts for mallets in the first week of october and so have that up and running so I would just need them for one afternoon/evening? I can return them the next day?
I'd love to pop down to get some practice in before term proper so i'll post up when i'm back and try to get down to a game! i only have an old 70s road bike, but i'll bring him down and we'll see how it goes!
Thanks again for all the help!

Mountain bike sounds ideal for polo. I mashed together bits from my spares bin and £25 and have quite a respectable steed, as long as you're not a mechanic!

Hey Wicksie, sorry I never made it again after saying I would - just too hard to get Tuesdays free all the time (I work evenings), but I might make it along occasionally. Looks like you are doing well for numbers anyway though!
FREE STUFF: In the meantime Elguapo, that frame is still available (the harrier one) if you want it and can pick it up in Camberwell anytime. Also have two 1" stems (that are missing quills) and a crappy chain ring and cranks, if anyone wants these for polo bikes, -

Sorry for late check in.
heythropbike...
Any bike is fine, as long as it's safe and doesn't have bit sticking out that could hurt other people. Plug your bars etc.
I might be able to lend you 6 mallets, but as I said, get down to a ski place and ask for old poles, they'll give them away. You'll just have to buy the bolts @ £1 ish each.slowmotion, be good to see you when you can make it! Thanks for donating stuff to polo.
Fingers crossed for no rain tonight. I have the loaner bike!

sick wan, hopefully (weather permitting) should be a full polo bear turn out (good god)
and joni i can now give your mallet back, do you still need the seat clamp? -
• #567
You'll just have to buy the screws @ 10p ish each.!
fixed...

Damn the East Dulwich tax. I paid £1.50 for 10. Meh.
Didn't need a seat clamp Felix, needed a post but Joe's sorted me out. Thanks anyway.
I should say, if you need to borrow a bike, then please let me know. I won't bring the loaner unless needed.
POLO!

Ha, good times! Do you still need a lever?
And no one needs the loaner then?
-
• #573
meant wheel. Well, no new, but nice. Overslap is over.
-
• #574

-
• #575
am off to buy a bolt that I am missing, should be all good for later :)
...
And no one needs the loaner then? Not me, thank you anyway Joni.
Getting used to my one, like it with its good and bads. Tough bike love.
Gracicles, mine's 36" which is about standard I think. I'll just bring a pile of mallets for everyone.
I reckon back to the carpark Kev, yeah. Only when it's shite weather though as I'm loving QR.
We'll still be around matey, no worries.
Might have a 22t freewheel for you too.
