  • Size: 55cm C-T seat tube. all other measurements to be added later.

Thought about resurrecting the old thread but decided instead just to start a new one. I finally managed to remove the threaded crank arm and bottom bracket from my track frame.

Below are some obligatory crappy iPhone pictures of the frame. (better photos can be taken on request).

It is/was a LeveL track frame. At some point in its life before I bought it, it was crashed and repaired. The top and down tubes were replaced. When I bought it, the paintjob was a matt black rattlecan job, so I took it to armourtex to get the surface rust sandblasted off and a more hardy and pretty paintjob applied. Annoyingly this has sort of obscured the LeveL engravings on the seat stay scallops, something that I thought about rectifying with some paint stripper but never ended up doing.

The Specialized S-Works decals are vinyl, and are applied on the top of the clear coat. If you'd rather not ride a bike with a Specialized 'S' on the headtube, they'll peel off easily and cleanly.

The headset is in more or less the condition i got it in (came with the frame when i bought it a year or so ago). It's an ultegra threaded jobbie - the bearings aren't as smooth as they could be but frankly it does the job and doesn't come loose or nuthin'.

I'm asking for £250 as is. It's an awesome ride. Very responsive and stiff. Loads of fun, even though it was too small for me. I'm 6ft, I'd say this would suit someone between 5'9" and 5'11". If you want to ride it on the street with a front brake, I can throw in some nice (although a little worn) columbus steel forks for £10.

I also have a nitto frog seatpost for sale, £25 or best offer. It's a bit worn, with some odd wear marks on the top of one of the metal holes for the 'eye' of the frog. The metal has been worn quite thin, but this isn't structural as the bolt that screws into the eye pulls the eye down down rather than pushes up, so it doesn't affect the seatpost's structural integrity.

    Thanks for looking!
