I'm planning to go fixed at some point, but am too lazy at the moment!

  • hello everybody.

  • I'm moving to Chorlton this month, but being a nutter I'll be commuting past Knutsford. Not sure what this'll do to my free time but I managed to find time for Polo in Cardiff so might turn up sometime soon. If I find t'other half a gym I might be able to allocate an evening...

  • Welcome, Emyr. We're currently playing every thursday and sunday. Would be great if you could make it down.

  • Hello again you lot. I'm moving back up by about the 20th of this month, I will be having a flat warming party and NON OF YOU ARE INVITED. Wouldn't have you grimy, disgusting cyclist lot in my flat if you paid me, probably get all mud and grease on the carpet.

I jest, you're all invited and I'll post up when I know when it is. I've missed you lot! There are like, 3 cyclists in Bath and I've been totally pre-occupied with my other bikes this summer, the times I have done for longer rides it has been PAIN.

    How is everyone?

  • Hi I'm moving up to manchester in a couple of weeks for uni. I'm going to be building up a new fixie to get about. Just out of interest what sort of gearing are people running?

  • it's very flat mate - so knock yourself out. Bit stoppy and starty in parts though so watch yer knees on a sprinting gear.

bottlecap barplugs... genius. do they stay on well?

Hello, i live in whalley range. Have a converted SS, but looking to start putting a fixie together. never built a bike up before though, gulp!

    Andy

  • If it's a fixie, there's not much to do ;-)

  • just thought i'd say hello again as I'm now in manchester, move into the house tomorrow i hope haha. but i'm in withington now, halfway between wimslow road and kingsway.

  • Hello i'm Paul, i've lived in Fallowfield for seven years and am no longer a student after years of inadequacy. i still own my first fixed gear and it resembles a monster now. Maybe you'll spot it, an aluminium '07 langster, the frame is covered in tin-foil which is scored and scratched all over. I am currently enjoying the laziness that comes with a coaster wheel, although i really enjoy riding fixed gear with a passion that will put me in the velodrome before long.
No other singlespeed bikes in the stable, my first good bike is a 14speed carlton corsair and i am currently building an 8speed bikepolo bike .
you dont want pictures of my bike, they will make you sad
