Contis are recommended by most of the instructors there - I run supersonics (as do quite a few other guys from Bristol/trackdropouts who ride at Newpoprt). DONT use Michelin - they have some weird compound in which leaves a residue iirc.
Oh and make sure you rub them down with rubbing alcohol/vinegar before using them and take them round the cote d azur for a couple of laps before getting on the banking - unless you happen to like sliding down it :)
