  • Postage on each frame is £10 or collection from Kent ME12 but in honesty postage is easier for me.

Measurements are - top tube centre to top x top tube centre to centre

    Sold
    Batavus Professional - 60cm x 56.5cm - £120 (excluding headset)

Very nice Batavus frame, think its an old one maybe late 70's early 80's. Very nice bronzey red colour with white headtube. Paint has various scratches and scuffs but is such a nice colour would be a shame to respray it.

Columbus tubing very likely Columbus SL. Has nice cut out long point lugs, wrap over stays, Campag ends, race number, etc. Just a superb classic steel frame. Has those beautiful aero forks that Batavus use on their pro frames.

Headset can be had with the frame for an extra £20 bit rough but with fresh grease and adjustment should be perfectly useable.

    SOLD
    Nigel Dean 531c - 56cm x 56cm - £70
Red and white fade. Would benefit from a respray. No problems other than the tiniest of dings in the top tube.

    Sold
    Concorde (Columbo) - 57cm x 55.5cm - £80
Not entirely sure what frame this is as it's lacking the stickers but past experience tells me its likely to be a Concorde Colombo which is made from Colubus Aelle tubing. Very nice touches like the chrome forks, drive side chainstay and dropouts. Also has nicely cut out lugs. Paint is ok and useable as it is but it is quite heavily scratched up so would probably benefit from refinishing.

    Claud Butler - 59cm x 56cm - £70
    For 27" wheels

Poor old CB from the 50's in need of refurb. Has already been resprayed sometime in it's life by Alvin cycles. Light and 27.2mm seatpost diameter points to it being a 531 DB frame. Has very nice pencil seatstays and arched brake bridge also has an oil point on bb shell.

    1953 AS Gillott - 55cm x 54cm - £120
    For 27" wheels

I sourced this frame for a friend a few years ago, it was yellow then. It was this frame that inspired me to find my own classic Gillott after reading about them on Classic Lightweights. This is a fine example with its nervex pro lugs, beautiful wrap over pencil stays, etc. It has been resprayed in white enamel to an acceptable although not perfect standard, personally I think it's need some colour.

Unfortunately it has had the mech hanger trimmed and my mate, much to my disgust, drilled the front fork to take a recess brake fitting! There is also a tiny dent in the top tube (see pics). I shamelessly stole the headbadge for my own Spearpoint frame, sorry but you'll have to settle for decals from H Lloyd or hunt down a badge yourself (good luck!)

My mate used it as a fixie for the last few years but it will work equally well as geared. I was going to build it up as a 1x7 but it is really a tad small so I decided to get my old Raleigh back on the road instead. Almost complete build with 700c wheels:

I got it from a friend in Ultrecht which isn't too far from Barneveld so quite possibly although I have had it a few weeks now....

    Hi Tel,

    Dibs on the Claud Butler.
How much is postage for the NL?

    Cheers,
    Erik

For you Erik I will do a special deal. PM coming right up.

Concorde, Nigel Dean, Claud Butler all have dibs.

  • Just remembered that I offered Buzzlightyear first refusal on the Batavus frame so until he lets me know he has first dibs.

  • Cb - sold

  • Batavus is still available.

  • nice stuff..........

Erik has the Butler? Shame, but in good hands i think.

  • Tel could be an Astore? I know you've sold those before, but paint just reminds me more of those than a columbo. Not that it makes a great deal of difference, great price either waay!

  • Concorde sold pending payment.

Nigel Dean, Gillott and Batavus still available (Surprisingly!)

Gillott will go on Ebay at the weekend.

  • Concorde sold.

Nigel Dean 531 Competition frame reduced to just £60 + £10 postage!

  • Tel

if you come across any 58 - 60 cm Elswick Hopper/Hopper 531 frames you have a buyer interested in me.
    thnx

  • Just bought a Peugeot 103 to start my first project but I think I made a mistake. Am I better off buying one of these frames? Ideally would suit a 57cm. Comments welcome, esp constructive ones!

  • Theres dibs on the Bat and ND.

Poodles your pug will do but yes in my opinion any of the frames above would have been a better basis for a project. Ideally you would want a bike/ frame with Columbus or Reynolds tubing.

  • All sold apart from my personal favourite and most reluctant sale the Gillott! Perhaps I've over priced it due to my fondness, any offers? (I didn't get round to putting it on Ebay)

ND is on long term dibs so may still become available again.

  • Long term dibber has been on forum but not been in touch. So the very cheap, bargain Nigel Dean frame is still up for grabs!

Still got the Gillott too and am keen to get rid of it as it's just hanging in the garage doing nothing. So how about £80 plus postage?

  • The Gillot looks great for a fixie conversion or am i stupid?
