You can win/gain 2-3 mm by filing a bit (taper) off an alu spacer that goes between frame/fork and brake arch.
It works and is safe.
I'll give you more details if you like & sketch.Besides Tektro, Shimano have some modern 47-57mm brakes.
They have 1 or a few models of early 1990's that is even longer but still dual pivot. Not as nice and not as good, but still much better than old sidepulls and centrepulls. Forgot the model name but I can look it up. Perhaps belonged to series for city-/trekking bikes. In the "Current Projects" thread I've asked you what fork it is and if it's available as a separate item. E.g. Ebay, bike shops (broken frames maybe...).
I need a fork for brake arch 57mm or so, similar to the one you have. 1-1/8" and preferably carbon and threadless. -

Hi
Front is fine it's for the rear it looks like the rear bridge is to high a fault at the factory I got the frame for free this been the reason I have seen some updated version of nutted brakes but I want a modern brake really .
I don't have any spare forks at all at the moment.
Must be good condition over 57mm drop and modern fitting if possible
Cheers
