would be a great idea . light may be an issue although it's all about the dark and the red lights. alternatively go out around dusk and get footage that will look a lot darker than it really is. i used an inner tube to strap my mobile phone to the handlebars to film in the alps and the results were positively fucking awesome. I now have a 12mp phone camera nestling in my hip pocket.
