Going into production. There's info on the polo upgrades thread and links to the site etc.

• #3
Got their website, couldn't see anything on it. Can't find info in the other thread (perhaps being blind)

• #4
i shall see what i can see.

• #5
From what I have read they are going to go into production but havn't yet.
-
• #6
they have u-brakes mounts though, note
-
• #7
I don't get why they have rear-mounted the rear brakes.
This will surely cause a decrease in stopping power, and an increase in brake squeal.

• #8
Good points you two.

is that a U brake on the front too?
it makes sense to put on one the rear of the front as U brakes are generally rubbish and that placement should improve it slightly, however why not just put a decent brake on it in the first place?
little bit of fashion over function.

u-brake mounts in the front and the rear for 650 and 700 tires
-
• #11
pointless.

The rear-mount for the front is to avoid damage to the brake in crashes, however a v-brake is apparently (don't know cos I haven't used a v-front for polo) just as functional in this respect.

no, just a fact.

I really hope this ones are just the prototypes and not the final product, they look to me like a half job done by someone no really into polo.
the geo looks good, the clearance are nice and to have double set of braze ons for 26" and 700c is quality
if the guy/owner/moneyman listen to the players, the new version should came up with V-brakesafter this Wolds, I think I have seen every polo "specific" frame that you can buy right now, and sadly non of them is perfect.
If I was going to put my money in one of them it will be the Fleet Velo "Joust" -

A joust with 135 rearend, rear disk brake mounts and clearance for 26*2.1-2.3 tyres would be a fuckload of fun.

''Mind the fence!!!''My brakes work perfectly well now, its only when I had them on the wrong hand that me and the fence became good buddies.
Interesting to see comments on V's, I was only saying last night how I should knock out some polo frames however that Fleet looks like an old Raleigh or something.

so, he choose the U-brakes too?
-

from what marc told me the frame is still in development. Not wishing to sound like a broken record, but if you really want a custom polo frame exactly how you want, go to 14 and tell them what you want. Our new frames are built around our experiences of our own frames other peoples and what has clearly worked in the past (vintage grass bikes) They are a custom shop after all and although the price is not set john told me it is unlikely to be over 500 for FnF
Does anyone know if the Dodici frames that Yorgo, Marc and some of the other guys have are in production or are they custom builds? Cheers.
