no, i wouldn't actually go that far. all i'm saying is that i find the whole idea of someone known to the op posing as the thief etc so odd as to be hard to believe - (the initial theft is also a little surprising too). the idea that a random thief is in fact pretending to be an imposter is even harder to believe.
if i were the police or an insurance company i think i would naturally look to the op for another explanation before accepting the truth of stalking thieves or malicious imposters etc.
