Bit of UK interest as well this time.
"Our first goal is to get an early stage win with Mark," said Hoffman, who denied that Cavendish plans to drop out before the end to focus on the road race in October's World Championships."

The LFGSS Fantasy League is really hotting up. I think my "names out of a hat" selection technique will pay dividends.

My boys are back after the ass-kicking they got in the Rolla league.
And this time they shall be not winning again, but in style!

Where's good for streaming the Vuelta? Not fussed about it being live.
I tried to get the eurosport player but it didn't work with my mac.

Eurosport player should work on the mac, just have to make sure Silverlight is installed.
Also try cyclingfans.tv for hooky links

Looks like I managed to balls up my entry for the fantasy league... Mysteriously I don't seem to have any riders anymore - Nil Points.

Just one stage. Get back in there, boys!
I tried... but after stage 1 it let me select a team but since I had no credits I couldn't afford anyone so I'm still stuck with nothing. I may try to set up a new account this evening.

Catching up with some Vuelta..
Love Cav's bunnyhop over the line the other day and yesterday the Anton (leader) crashes out with 6k to go, totally shredded. Poor bloke. Mental crowds at the finish.
-

Crowds were mental at the end of 14.
Totally forgot about the fantasy league, I've still got Ian Stannard on my team...

WOW what a finish. That was an amazing climb at the end by Mosquera. Nibali almost stole it from him though, such an exciting finish.
-

It's certainly been a good Vuelta in terms of rising the profile of the race. More interesting locations, more fan support, lots of lead changes. They still need to work on the logistics of that last climb, but the concrete track and the name definitely make it memorable.

Yeah, amazing. Really brave attempt to claw back the 40-odd second deficit on the GC, and fantastic tenacity from Nibali to deny it.
10 laps of industrial wasteland don't really compare :/
The Vuelta starts on the 28th August, and although it never gets the same attention as the Giro or Tour de France, I thought it deserved a thread.
Tips to win?
Schlecks are in it together, also Sastre and Menchov. Some big name are out, including last years winner Valverde who is serving a ban.
The road.cc virtual tour was fun last time with the LFGSS league, and I probably got more involved in the Tour de France because of it. The Vuelta league Id is: **16351 **if you want to join.
