Ok, final call, would anyone be up for organising the free food for Saturday and Sunday (ideally different people would take on responsibility for each day to ease the load)?
What's needed: A big vat of pasta and salad, some bread perhaps, some apples, that kind of thing... needs to be enough for 150 people (think small portions though), I have a budget of £1 per head (£150 a day) which should be more than enough, the tricky thing will be cooking it all and having it fresh/tasty and courtside for lunchtime.
Anyone up for it?

I was thinking of splitting this down into batches of "50 people" food, which would require 6 volunteers for the weekend each being given £50, it would be great if we could nail this... no free food would be rubbish.

Have you tried Chris (Aroogah)? I think him and his lady Julia baked a load of bread for the east festival tourney thing.

Just to say that beyond anything else it would be great to have lots of people from outside of the polo community to come and spectate and get interested in the sport.
This will be an excellent competition, featuring some of the best teams in the world.

The London Open looms and we're in need of help (again), if you think you can get involved then just list your name/skills in this thread! We need people for the following:
Housing management is done, although we still need some floor space/gardens, see here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread48550.html
Format, brackets and schedule. - Gabes, thank you.
Rules and Reffing - Mike (head ref), thanks. Also, thanks to the 7 refs that have already come forward, this should be enough, but if you'd still like to ref, get in touch.
Goals - Gabes, Ryan and Em, again, thanks.
Security - we will have fenced areas for everyone's gear, but I would like someone to manage telling people if their bikes/bags need moving. We also need some volunteers for standing with the photography booth and possibly other areas too.
Deals finder - Adam, thanks (Talking to local businesses in the area to source any last minute discounts on coffee, breakfast, pints, etc.)
Food - We have a small budget for food, which I need someone to manage (pasta, salad, fruit for both days). It would also be great if we could have some baked cakes and other goodies available, so if you're awesome at baking, etc, please come forward!
Team fluffers - get the teams who will be playing the next games ready to play so we don't fall behind, you will work with the ref of your court to keep things running smoothly and run results back to the scoreboards, etc.
Entertainments team - We need some people to take on entertaining/gathering (and possibly registering) people as they arrive for Friday throw-ins at Downham, this could be a standard kind of day, but it would be ace if we could organise some sort of entertainment in the evening (bike tour, polo cat, pub/bar, etc).
BBQ on Friday - We need someone to run a fundraising BBQ on Friday at Downham, a bit like the end of league one. The target is to raise £150 and the food needs to be prepared/cooked/enjoyed.
Court building - moving the wood to fill ion the gaps behind goals and any other bits. Brandan, thanks.
Tourney setup team - sweep the courts early on Saturday and Sunday and help with putting up banners, moving fences, etc. If mornings are your thing then it would be great to see you on court at 8am on Saturday and Sunday!
Tourney take-down team - pack everything away on Saturday and Sunday, if mornings aren't your thing then please stick around after the tourney finishes to help pack away before heading off to party.
Also, if you have any time this week and what to help out with other bits, please let me know via PM or an email to jon(at)lhbpa(dot)org. (So far I have Adam, John and Matt down.)
