Did you not read the bit in the instructions about keeping the C of G infront of the axle of the trailer? ;)

I'm actually aware of that, however I was worried about the rear wheel coming in contact with the bike, unfortunately it's set too far back due to the plank of wood being too long and the front part of the bike rack have a gorge that stick out at the bottom restricting the position.

Once I saw the wood to it's appropriate length, it should be fine.

Netherless I still managed to cycle from Wimbledon to Clerkenwell without much effort.
