  • ^^^ Are you sure?

  • fuji has to be a repost...

  • Not if you hold the drops, like you're supposed to on a track bike. I realise that this is a bit of a radical concept for you fixie skidders...

Yeah right. You'll be telling us people actually ride them on tracks next.

  • ^ This.
They should make those hubs with a little hatch in the hub body or the side and you could store stuff in their/pour milk in and make some butter as you cycle.

    +1

  • half link chain with sliding drops. looks shite.

    dipshit nodder thing to do.

    Not necessarily.
6-days, madison, points race, regular training, .....
If drop bars were meant to hold the drops only, they would have looked different, maybe.
As you may know, advantage of drop bars is the multi-position.
I would recommend to tape the whole bars.

  • neither of those bikes are likely to get anywhere near a track and have been built to look at.

  • +1 Kerley

  • fuji has to be a repost...

I hope it's not a repost from this thread, otherwise it's a multiple fail.

  • neither of those bikes are likely to get anywhere near a track and have been built to look at.

So they are right at home on a internet bike forum's 'bike porn' thread then......

  • yes, as long as you don't mind getting cold hands when pushing them from one studio to the next

Track bend bars for sprinting = hold the drops only
For Madison, it's usual to use a road shaped bar with a nice flat top to make it nicer to hold at that position.

Oh, and there's a reason why cycling gloves are called "Track Mitts", so cold hands are unlikely even if you do occasionally grab the unwrapped portion of the bars.

  • It looks like the Batmobile!!! All you need now is a cape! :D
