Moving house last week, and was at the 24hr skip in Vauxhall, thought i would have a rumage in the scrap metal bin - the were about a hundred wheel sets in there, and quite a few frames, but i spotted some Carbon buried in there, and not quite believing my eyes pulled a Zipp wheelset out.

Not sure which model they are, but i think 404 tubs with carbon hubs, the front wheel appears to be sound, but needs a new axle, the rear had the hub cut out, and i think there is a crack on the rim.

Thought i would offer them up for freecycle to the Trackies - no idea if they are salvageable , but if you want them i am based in Battersea, just off Latchmere Road.

Wow nice find! I'll take the front of your giving it away will dispose of the rear as sounds like a bit of a potential deathrap although it could be made into a cool piece of wall art/ clock!

If anyone has, or can recommend a track fork that is/has been drilled - can you give me shout? Cheers.

I have an Alpina Carbon/Alloy Fork (not drilled) that i'm happy to swap. I appreciate it may seem a bit weird, but i want to have a brake available for my rides to and from the track.

If your fork is straight and has a 1" threadless steerer that also happens to be pretty long, I'll probably buy it.

Thought i'd put these here because these are track specific tubulars after all.

Campagnolo Pista tubular wheelset, de-stickered. All original locknuts, and lockring, perfect condition, I've ridden them twice in one year.
Selling due to being impractical and also unable/unwilling to use front brake.
Ideal stiff strong wheels for the track.
Comes with two Veloflex Servizio Corse (one needs repairing) and 2 no-namer tubs and a tin of Vittorria tubular cement, allegedly the best cement there is.

I should add that it pains me to sell these, since they are the best wheels i have ever ridden :(

pretty good deal, if anyone's looking for a good all round wheels. I'd snap these up if campag had longer rear axle... stupid fat track ends.

I have a track wheelset for sale. Silver Mavic CXP30 tubulars on Miche Primato single fixed hubs. No lockring included. Come with Conti Sprints that appear to need new valves or something as I can't get them to stay inflated. I bought these tried to inflate the tyres and then gave up on them. They have only been used on the track and have never been used with brakes.
