Im proud to say, ive never ever had a shower in a gym unless ive been swimming.
Commercial gyms are not really "training centres" if they were, all you see there is rows of barbells, weights, plyo boxes, perhaps gymnastic apparatus and a running track outdoors.
No one except athletes or pseudo-athletes would go to that. Normal people go to the gym for some weird physcological self-punishment thing, or to enjoy a kind of "holistic day out".
Why do gyms always appear to have more people in the changing rooms and showers than they do in the actual exercise areas?
