@ Smallfurry, are those on-one bars? look a bit narrow to be a midge, but the right kind of shape.
Its the angle of the photo. They are pretty wide, which is a little annoying in the summer, but very useful in the winter, or when pulling/carrying heavy loads.
Riding off-road with your hands squashed into the tight bends of a pair midge bars, is something everyone should try :)
Thanks for the nice comments. There is nothing porn about a OEM CX frame with low-end Deore MTN groupset and touring kit. But it is the most useful bike I have ever owned. Which has cut my car usage, while increasing my weekly cycling miles, and for these resons, I love it.
