The ITM ones are pretty good, especially if you get the 1 1/8" one so you don't have to use a shim

Would using a converter with a decent stem be stiffer than a quill setup? The flex in my current nitto quill seems to be at where the stem curves to become horizontal.... I'm thinking that a converter would eliminate a lot of this?

Yes, mildly. Unless you can find a very stiff quill stem..
bit of an oxymoron really!

Thanks.
Does such a thing exist?!

Mine works.....
which one do you use?

Hi,
just to add my opinion-the converter will be fine but is never going to be as stiff as a proper ahead set up purely because there are more parts joined together.
Scott
fellow trackies....
I want to put and A-head stem on the Pinarello for track use, but it has a threaded headset & forks.
Are quill to A-head converters ok (or even allowed) for use on the track?.....
i think i remember seeing RPM's Roberts with such a set-up, but cant be sure.
