I need some massive washers...

Anybody here familiar with suppliers of washers?

Im after some massive ones, 2 inch hole and as thick as possible.

I know a place in nechells called nutters probably has them, but its a mission to get there. Does anyone know a good supplier of engineering bits & bobs like washers? That is closer to south/central Birmingham?

I could also do with some plastic pipe, about 2 inches diameter too. Not precisely. Where do all you lot get your polo pipe from?

there's a hardware shop/ironmongers on digbeth high street isn't there?

It's about 7 miles to Nutters from Kings Heath, on a polo bike that's easily an 8 hour ride each way... more if you find/steal some gas pipe.
Pack a lunch.
You'll need to fit a rack and panniers to get the HUGE washers home too, so maybe take a tent in case you get stuck somewhere on the way back and need to camp out.

try plumb base. They have lots of types and sizes. Used to get them from there when i was a plumber. There is one in digbeth i think.

have you tried that builders merchant between moseley and kings heath on the alcester road?

Not the kind of thing a builders merchant would have. Unless they worked with built large steel bridges there wouldnt be much need for a washer with a 2 inch hole. Its pretty specialist.
