conditioning from who? their parents?
Family, culture, religious and social norms and so on.
what do you suggest is compelling these people to go out of their way to find these "healers" and spend a lot money they may not have?
Familial, cultural, religious and social norms coupled with a desperate medical situation, fear and a distrust of science.
i do not know much about neurology, but do you think people who get suckered into his kind of thing are . .
a) choosing to not make a rational decision when they could or . .
b) do not have the capacity to make one?
if it is a) i do not see why they should be pitied or stopped.
That's a very good question, but we need to ask ourselves why someone would choose not to make a rational decision, I suspect both a) and b) are much the same thing (?) or at least closely related.

No, no, I need somewhere where I can burn massive effigies, somewhere that I can kidnap and sacrifice scottish police detectives.

it's just I can imagine some of these emails being used in a documentary about fraudulent spiritualists / medical practices.
Nah, nothing so exciting, just personal research.

I had a good laugh at this topic but now I'm somewhat worried about naive people believing in what she said and end up suffering from it (the Timothy's bait for instance).

Saw some-one wearing one of these bracelets whilst fixing a puncture outside the shop. was so, so tempted to go out and ask them if they needed any unicorn dust.
Then one of the guys I work with made a really good point: if they're meant to improve balance, then why don't you wear them on both arms?
-
• #311
I like the fact that the power balance is on the wrist rather than your ears.
balance is controlled by a tiny bones in our ears, not by how arm flapping wildly into the wilderness.
-

Wrist bands are bollocks, you need a fuck of pole for balance.
