i tried to sell my STA-500 with smiler spec on ebay not long ago. didn't get a single bid, was in smiler condition
i put it in my mums loft. my thinking is pull it out in 15 years and it will be old enough to go for heeps like skyways do now.

Sad really. Great bikes. Just sitting in the corner getting dusty maybe mine will just have to follow yours into the loft

With classifieds, there is a rule of thumb that you have to at least have a starting price on it.
I'm interested in your bike, but as I'm a bmx newbie I wouldn't have a clue what it's worth. -
• #7
You have a good point. Im looking for around £100.
pm me.
-
• #8
it might be tatty but £100 for that is a fucking steal...!
profile chainset, look like those chunky araya rims, s&m & federal bits... bargain
-
• #9
100pound for bmx it s ok?
-
• #10
I reckon you'll need to drop the price on that board mate.... SHOKK boards went out with the ark! They were used as rental boards in NZ in the mid 90's!
-
• #11
aye but flow bindings still go for between 40-60 quid on peebay no?
-
• #12
I dont know much about the board. It was an ex's she left with me and she stopped riding.
Im aware the board is pretty naff though but the bindings were worth a squirt. How much would you say then?
Im open to offers on all anyway £100 was just a starting price. -

£60 for the BMX ?
-
• #14
matey...100 quid is a bargain.standard is *the *bmx company and the bits on this are high quality.
60 quid would get you the crank and ring.

That spec list is very out dated now and Standard really aren't 'The' BMX company anymore.

quality never goes out of date and standard trails bikes of
the keith terra era are the shit.
i am 5 years out of date but this was a 350 frameset. -
• #17
The frame was actually £450 - 500 if it's an ox platinum. If you swapped the forks and wheels, pedals, seatpost and saddle for something newish you'd be getting towards a bike thats reasonably light and fun to ride. It's a good price, just bear in mind the things that are fucked / could be fucked. It's still got brake lugs which is a plus though.

No. Just no...

He's right, they've just about given up on the european market. Although they are still doing ok in america. If zeal have broke into double figures in the frames they have sold this year i'd be surprised.
-
• #20
I was only disagreeing with the out dated spec list part, as stated above theres some quality parts on it, £100 is a bargain tbh...
-
• #21
Appart from the frame, it's all down to the condition of the cranks and stem. If the stem is pinched or the cranks are twisted / have play in the splines £60 is a fair offer. This isn't even a midschool bmx and it has some sort of shit hoffman / alex wheelset (not araya's or perigrine superpro's) - thus £60 - 100 is reasonable.

It's all about the Raleigh Chrome Burner you know.

Standard TRLS 250 OX platinum BMX (offers on price)***
Hand done paint job chipped to hell but structurally sound apart from one small ding in the top tube not really visable.
With i little TLC this bike would ride great. I never ever use it and it seems a waste to keep it.
Profile Crank
Profile Imperial 36t chain ring.
Primo Pro Pedals
Hoffman Girthy Front Hub 48 hole
S&M Redneck Lite Stem
Federal Lite 2pc bars
S&M Pitch Forks
***Shokk 150cm Snowboard with Flow Bindings (M sized)
£100 ono***
Would be a great beginner board. Edges and Base serviced last season so its ready to go.
