• doesn't understand what this forum is like maybe.

Plenty of other forums just put up with the same questions repeated for years and everyone is polite about it. How dull.

  • I don't see why so many people get arsey about it. If you don't want to help, don't read the thread, it was pretty obvious what he was going to ask by the title, no?

  • I found the Langster a really easy going ride for my first fixed bike. Gearing's not too high (42/16 I think) and it weighs nothing. Will get me through winter then I shall build myself something now I know more what I'm after.

  • The Langster was my first fixed and I still love the thing.

  • might have a langster frame and forks to sell you if you're up for it - BB included.

old fashioned 2006 model, the one people generally turn their noses up at the least.

  • I thought the thread title made him sound special. I wanted in on the special action. Plus, I've done a lot of work with people with special needs.

We could probably design some kind of visual aid and mnemonic strategy to help the client develop an understanding of both the search tool and searching as a broader concept. And some group work to wear away the behaviours in which the lack of empathic development is displayed.

    WAC.

  • cheers for the advice, apart from bringmemyfix.

Who for some reason seems to be an expert but doesnt understand "this is what forums are for" haha. I was looking for maybe something abit more modern.

Yes it's what the forum is for, but it's much easier to source information from one comprehensive thread as opposed to numerous vapid threads like this one.

    whats people views on fuji

They said use the forum search already.

If you really want to help then go ahead, but people who have been through the nursery period have supposedly had some time to read a bit of the forum but still can't be fucked to search for what they want.

If it's a vaguely different angle on the question then OK. But: Need a bike, but what?

    Lazy and rude.

  • I don't mind as I remember when I first joined the forum, I asked a few silly questions but people helped me out. I don't see why that shouldn't continue.

One of the first things to come up was this:

    Ideal for your first fixed.

  • Disc wheel. Nice.

  • Ready for polo straight out of the box.

Also, chainless is the new brakeless.

  • How bout this? Bill Maynard rides one, rides great in the wet.

    ..../stalks mmcarthy....

...Haha i'm surprisingly heavy for my skinniness (hard to believe i know), I remember an guy I knew from school (who was quite tipsy at the time) gave me a bear hug and remarked on my "high density" as he put it, crazy physicists, i'm sure Elguapo & Moog will agree that I could handle it, might give them hope of catching me on the hills =P
    ...l

lol. I think I have low density. It's all that guinness.

  • Indeed, I remember at one point asking how to remove a cog...

And look who helped you out?

  • You'll need something special, as you've indicated you're too special to use the cunting search like every other n00b. Maybe gold, massive, and with a billion gears.
    +1

  • whats people views on fuji

It's okay, but after the second week I was a bit bored laying around on the beach all day and there wasn't much else to do.

    Oh sorry you said fuji.

And look who helped you out?

    Lol

  • i) It was nearly 2 years ago.

ii) He majorly (© S. Kelly) asked for forgiveness first. I'm a sucker for humility (other people's, obviously).

iii) It's a shame he's become an apologist cunt for 'special n00bz'.

  • 2 years on here is enough to turn anyone into a right cunt

  • how can you even know what makes a bike 'classic', let alone build one, if you have to ask for advice on a bike 'ideal for wet weather'..?

-hint: re wet weather, you should get a waterproof coating on your mech.

  • I've also changed the thread title to reflect the updated price points.

  • Did you ever know that you're my heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeero?
