I am using a Campagnolo Record BB

I think you have to specify the axle length or, even better, the text stamped onto the axle surface (first get it out of the frame to read it)

Okay, cartridge bearing (not automatically spit out by the vintage 80's Colnago?)
And the axle length is... mm ? -

Which is for the most recent Campag square tapered double cranks. The Campag pista BB is 111 mm. You need something similar I'd wager.

If it is 111 then this is cheaper than the one you found but of equal quality;

I got a Veloce 111mm BB for 14 squids off Parker International website. Pretty sure thats what you'll be needing.

One last thing, my chainline was perfect with the bottom bracket I have now, the only problem was that I have double ring cranks and not Pista cranks so they had the bits poking out the back which just touched the frame. Does it make more sense to shell out for the Pista cranks or try a different bottom bracket?

I take it this thing is going to be fixed/single speed?
If you get new cranks you'll need a new BB too. Try the BB first. If it was marginal, you could try a slightly longer BB (eg not step up from 102 straight to 111, but try something in between. 108, for example, would move each crank arm out by 3mm ish.

or bodge, by filing off tabs or denting the frame where it touches.
Hello All,
Desperately need some help, I have a set of Campagnolo Super Record Cranks on a 80's Colnago Super. When I span the cranks there was a strange noise, I then realised it was the rear protruding bits of the crank scratching the frame. Have I put these on wrong?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks,
