there is some truth in this. the buckets of hot milk they sell in starbucks aren't really coffee anyway. most it should really be regarded as "pudding" rather than "beverage".

I feel somewhat qualified to address balki's statement as a pre-friends teen coffee-holic who used to live playing mad scientist with one of these:

I had a coffee obsessed german girlfriend at uni and existed for three years on milky lattes made with stove-top espresso and gauloise blondes.

also i absolutely hated friends for years... I have to say though that i found myself suckered in by the end. i still occasionally watch the endless repeats on E4. the later episodes could be very funny. watched some yesterday actually.

there's one of these at grind in putney i think...
