Cheaper wheel building, opinions?

Hey just a quick one here, testing the waters and such.
I know that it will be cheaper for me to build a wheel if i do the lacing and tensioning then take it to an lbs for more tensioning and truing.

will i have problems if i do this?

apologies if this has been discussed, id rather find out by your hand today, than your hand vaguely yesterday

I did this. Took it to lbs for final truing. my wheels are ace.

mine too. did the lacing and such at home, then down to the lbs, 12 each for tensioning (and checking my work, it was my first time...).
